WhatsApp founder Jan Koum just announced (obviously via Facebook) that the hugely popular messaging company WhatsApp has launched a web client that'll let users fire off messages from inside the desktop version of Google Chrome.

In a post on blog, WhatsApp wrote that
"Today, for the first time, millions of you will have the ability to use WhatsApp on your web browser. Our web client is simply an extension of your phone: The web browser mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device — this means all of your messages still live on your phone."

WhatsApp is now available on your desktop, but as long as you’re a Android, Microsoft windows Phone or perhaps BlackBerry consumer. As a consequence of "Apple software limitations, " the internet client just isn't currently there for iOS users, WhatsApp explained. It didn't address any time or if that may change.

How to use WhatsApp Web Client on Desktop

The newest web client for WhatsApp basically mirrors the app on the phone onto the web page, this means all of your messages willl be still live on your mobile phone.

Connecting a web browser to users' WhatsApp client is easy. To get started with WhatsApp Web client on the desktop, you have to head towards WhatsApp web page, Scan the QR code on the webpage using the WhatsApp portable app on mobile phone, then users will instantly have paired their mobile WhatsApp with the WhatsApp net client and be able to type the current messages coming from there.

The popular messaging service also stated that users' phones should stay connected to the Internet to ensure that the WhatsApp Web client to work, and they need to install the most recent version of WhatsApp on their phone.

Right at this moment, the web app's only compatible with Google Chrome in addition with the Android, Windows Cellular phone, or Blackberry mobile phones version on the mobile request. iOS compatibility isn't along route for currently.
